Authentic Community
At Grace Bible Church, we are brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ, and we desire to reflect that perspective in authentic relationships with one another. We choose not to hide our struggles, fears, and joys, but to be real and honest with God, our church family, and ourselves. These authentic relationships require us to know and love one another according to the selfless model of Christ, to serve and encourage each other with humility and compassion, and to offer forgiveness to all.
Biblical Teaching
Knowing and following the Bible, God’s inspired and inerrant word, is of primary importance to our community at Grace Bible Church. We believe that God’s word, when heard, meditated upon, and applied with obedient faith, has the power to transform our character and make us increasingly into the image of Christ. Thus, we encourage sound Biblical preaching and individual, family, and group study of scripture. God’s word, with its transforming power, is alive at Grace Bible Church.
Changed Lives
Gods word challenges each one of us to be transformed into the image of Christ. Although we may be at different stages in this process, we all recognize the need for spiritual growth. Therefore, we desire to give our hearts to God and to allow His Spirit to do the continual work of transforming our thoughts, words, actions, and priorities. Consequently, we will not be the same today as we were yesterday, and we want our changing lives to demonstrate the power of Christ’s presence and to offer hope to a dying world.
Holistic Outreach
God desires for us to reach people with the message of the Gospel and to meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Therefore, we believe that God wants us to encourage, equip, and support believers to spread the Gospel, and that he calls us to minister to the needs of people in our local and global communities. To accomplish the goals of holistic outreach, all of us must invest our time, talents, and resources.
Passionate Worship
We serve a mighty and awesome God, and we must worship Him! God has revealed Himself to us, and we are compelled to declare His worth and express our devotion to Him. Our corporate worship serves as a purposeful gathering in which we encounter the living presence of God. We desire to live worship-filled lives and to declare our love and dependence on our Savior by offering our whole selves to Him in worship. Christ is our all-consuming passion.
Purposeful Innovation
God is at work in this world, and we seek to follow Him in ministry. We want to identify where and how God is working, and change ourselves into ministers for Him. We value historical Christian practices, but we realize that those practices must remain flexible. We must continually evaluate our methods and make purposeful changes when God leads us that way. We believe that innovation requires some experimentation or risk-taking, and we must be willing to learn from our successes and failures.
Servant Leadership
We believe that each person has a sphere of influence in which he or she must practice the kind of servant leadership modeled by Christ. Thus, as servant leaders, we lead by meeting the needs of those we serve, while acting with humility and love. Even in our leadership roles, we value and respect all people by listening and speaking with kindness and truthfulness. We recognize that we are all part of a larger team of servant leaders, and that we must continually strive to provide vision, love, faith, hope, and encouragement to others, while remaining teachable and humble.
